Our best bootcamp story
On the fourth day of the first European edition of the ECCAR/ICCAR Youth Boot Camp in Moldova, participants joined children from the Sunshine Project of the Dacia Buiucani Academy for a football match that highlighted the power of inclusion through sport. Organized in partnership with UNESCO, ECCAR, the city of Chisinau, and other institutions, the event brought together 25 young people from diverse backgrounds to play alongside children with Down syndrome, breaking down barriers of difference and discrimination.
The Sunshine Project, dedicated to social integration through sports, provided a living example of how equality and respect can be fostered on and off the field. This activity reinforced the Boot Camp’s mission of promoting diversity and inclusion, reminding participants that shared experiences—whether in workshops or on a football field—can inspire lasting social change.
